1930s Sheer Cotton Lawn Dress

An ethereal white cotton dress from the 1930s–1940s, made from finely woven cotton lawn with a subtle woven floral pattern throughout. The fabric has a natural, lightly crisp hand that gives the dress its beautiful structure and fullness. Designed with narrow pleats, soft smocking at the waist and shoulders, and short puffed sleeves. Unlined and semi-sheer — ideal layered over a slip or nude undergarment.

The cotton has a slightly crisp, natural texture typical of early fine cottons — it holds its shape beautifully but may feel a little textured against very sensitive skin.
