1970s Asymmetrical Patchwork Chambray & Floral Maxi Skirt

A fabulous original 1970s maxi skirt, sourced in Paris, with incredible movement and a distinctly bohemian silhouette.

Made in France and labelled David McGee Paris, the skirt combines lightweight blue denim/chambray with softly contrasting floral printed cotton. The fabric has been cleverly pieced into sweeping diagonal panels that spiral around the body, opening into an asymmetric, almost handkerchief-style hem. The construction gives it an enormous amount of movement—the skirt swings beautifully when worn and looks particularly striking in motion.

The mix of denim and tiny multicoloured florals is quintessentially 1970s, while still being exceptionally easy to wear today. Style with a fitted vest or cropped knit and boots, or simply with a white tee or blouse.

Very good vintage condition. Clean, wearable and beautifully preserved for its age.
