1970s Indian Cotton Gauze and Lurex Peacock Print Dress

A wonderful original 1970s Indian cotton gauze dress by Temptation, featuring one of the era’s most charming novelty prints. Soft shades of lavender, plum and dusty pink are combined with delicate floral block printing and striking peacock borders across the yoke, back and hem, all highlighted with subtle metallic lurex running throughout the fabric.

The fitted empire bodice creates a beautiful silhouette before falling into a softly gathered skirt with graceful movement. Unlike many Indian gauze dresses of the period, this style is slightly less voluminous through the skirt, giving it an elegant, elongated shape while remaining wonderfully easy to wear.
