1970s Suede & Shearling Princess Coat – Penny Lane Style

A beautiful and classic 1970s suede and shearling princess coat in a rich warm tan, trimmed throughout with thick natural shearling. This piece combines the iconic Penny Lane aesthetic with a softly structured princess-line cut, creating an elegant, elongated silhouette that is both flattering and timeless.

The coat is crafted from supple suede with a full shearling interior and generous shearling trim at the collar, cuffs, front placket and hem. The shearling is dense, plush and wonderfully insulating, giving the coat substantial warmth and weight. Long vertical seam lines shape the body gently through the waist without a horizontal waist seam — a defining feature of the princess cut — allowing the coat to skim the body beautifully.

It fastens at the front with traditional suede loop-and-toggle closures, a hallmark detail of late 1960s–1970s outerwear, and features two patch pockets at the hips. The collar can be worn open or turned up for extra warmth. The length falls to around knee level depending on height.
