A vibrant pair of 1970s flares in jewel-toned mustard, moss green and cream, printed in an ornate batik motif. The leg flares generously from the knee for that sweeping, era-true silhouette. Medium-weight woven fabric (feels like cotton). Closes at the front with a nylon zip and button.

Batik and batik-inspired prints surged in popularity during the 1970s as global bohemian style embraced handmade textile traditions. Drawing on centuries-old resist-dye techniques from Indonesia (and later Indian export adaptations), pieces like these were sold across Europe and the U.S., worn by musicians, travellers and free spirits.

Very good vintage condition with strong colour and print clarity. some seams at the crotch have been resewn. Light, normal signs of age only.
