1970s Indian Cotton Gauze Maxi Dress with Tree Print and Gold Stamped Details

Crafted from wonderfully soft, semi-sheer crinkled cotton gauze, the dress combines striking geometric block prints with delicate floral motifs and one of its most enchanting details: metallic gold stamped trees that shimmer subtly across the yoke and flowing hem.

100% cotton gauze.

Condition

Very good vintage condition. There is one professionally repaired area near the lower hem where the fabric had frayed. It has been carefully stabilised with a sewn backing patch and is almost invisible from the front, becoming noticeable only upon close inspection. There is also a very faint, likely old rust mark on the front which blends into the complexity of the print and is difficult to see unless specifically looking for it. Minor variations in the dye and print are consistent with the handmade nature and age of the piece and add to its vintage character.
