1970s Indian Block Print Cotton Dress with Butterfly Sleeves

A gorgeous and wonderfully feminine 1970s Indian block print cotton dress, with an unusual, playful silhouette and the prettiest fluttering sleeves.

Made from soft, lightweight cotton, beautifully block printed throughout with an intricate floral and botanical pattern in deep chocolate brown, burgundy and black against a soft blush pink background.

The cut is particularly lovely, with a wide square neckline, gently gathered shoulders and dramatic butterfly sleeves that fall in soft points around the upper arms. The bodice is fitted through the waist before opening into a wonderfully full, swishy skirt that falls to approximately mid-calf.

A particularly charming variation on the classic 1970s Indian cotton dress, with a shorter, flirtier silhouette than the more commonly seen maxi styles. The combination of the delicate floral print, defined waist and playful sleeves makes this an incredibly pretty and distinctive piece.
