1930s Floral Cotton Voile Dress with Ruffled Neckline and Matching Belt

An absolutely beautiful original 1930s floral cotton dress, made from an exceptionally light, airy cotton voile or batiste with a wonderfully romantic silhouette.

The delicate, semi-sheer fabric features a charming all-over botanical print in shades of cornflower blue, fresh green, warm orange and soft brown against a pale background. The lightweight cotton has a lovely fluid quality, allowing the dress to fall and move beautifully.

The most striking feature is the spectacular cascading ruffled neckline, which extends over the shoulders to create soft, fluttering sleeves. The ruffles are finished with delicate contrasting brown trim, adding definition to the layers of fabric.
