1960s-70s Embroidered Afghan Jacket with Shearling Trim

A beautifully detailed 1960s-70s Afghan coat in a soft, warm-toned suede, finished with delicate hand embroidery and long, flowing shearling trim. This piece stands out for its lighter construction — unlike many heavier Afghan coats, this one is soft, supple and easy to wear, making it particularly suited to transitional seasons such as spring and early autumn. The silhouette is more fitted and petite, with a gentle shape through the body and narrower shoulders, giving it an elegant, slightly tailored feel.

The embroidery is finely worked in a soft ivory tone, forming delicate floral and vine motifs across the back, sleeves and pockets. The shearling trim is especially beautiful — long, fluid and slightly varied in texture, framing the coat and adding movement and softness. Condition

Good vintage condition. Structurally excellent with no holes, tears or damage to the construction. The suede shows visible signs of wear, including areas of discolouration, markings and general surface soiling consistent with age and use, particularly noticeable due to the light tone of the leather. This is reflected in the price. The coat remains fully wearable and retains its overall beauty and character.
