Fit & lining notes

This Afghan coat has a pretty thick sherling lining, which significantly reduces the effective interior space. In addition, the leather is firmer and less supple than softer Afghans, with some areas of natural hardening, meaning there is less give and stretch when worn. Body measurements should be a few centimetres smaller than the flat garment measurements for a comfortable fit.

Condition
Very good vintage condition with normal signs of wear consistent with age and use. The suede has some areas where the leather is somewhat stiff but not brittle. The suede shows gentle, even wear and patina, adding to the character of the piece. The shearling trims are plush and soft. The embroidery remains intact and well preserved. One of the closure hooks is rusty. Overall a strong, honest vintage Afghan that has been worn and loved, and is ready to be worn for many years to come.
