Description
An extraordinary and unmistakably 1970s statement jacket, crafted in a striking patchwork “chessboard” composition of fur panels framed by black leather trim. This is a true glam rock piece — bold, theatrical, and unapologetically expressive — the kind of jacket that feels instantly Bowiesque, as if lifted straight from a backstage moment or an album sleeve.
The jacket features a classic 1970s silhouette with a sharp, elongated dagger-style collar that frames the neckline dramatically and gives the piece its unmistakable attitude. The shoulders are softly structured with a subtle gather at the sleeve head, creating that iconic 70s line: strong but not stiff, sculptural without being heavy. The body is gently shaped, allowing the jacket to sit close while still feeling wearable and relaxed.
The fur is arranged in a beautifully executed patchwork pattern, alternating light cream, caramel, taupe, and deeper brown tones. While the exact species cannot be stated with absolute certainty, the fur appears consistent with rabbit, known for its softness, lightweight feel, and rich tonal variation. The leather trim provides contrast and definition, grounding the softness of the fur with a sleek, rock-and-roll edge.
This jacket fastens neatly at the front (as shown) and is remarkably well balanced: visually bold yet surprisingly easy to wear. It works just as well over denim and a roll neck as it does layered over dresses, satin, or velvet. A true statement piece that defines an outfit rather than completes it.
A rare and collectible jacket from the golden era of glam rock — flamboyant, confident, and timelessly cool.

Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The fur panels are full, glossy, and beautifully preserved, with no bald patches or thinning. There is extremely minimal shedding only — limited to the occasional loose strand (approximately 1–2 hairs at most), which is negligible and typical for well-preserved vintage fur. Lining seems untouched. There is no odour. The leather trim remains supple and strong. Overall wear is minimal and fully consistent with a carefully kept 1970s piece. An outstanding example in rare condition.
