Vintage 1970s ‘Bal Masqué 1892’ Art Nouveau Graphic Tee

A sunshine yellow ringer tee from the 1970s featuring a vivid reprint of Jules Chéret’s poster for the legendary masked ball held at the Paris Opéra on 24 March 1892 — an event that truly took place. These extravagant Belle Époque masquerades were glittering, theatrical affairs, and Chéret’s exuberant lithographs helped define their visual identity.

In the 1970s, such imagery saw a renewed cult following, embraced by the bohemian and psychedelic scenes for its rich, ornamental style and dreamlike historical escapism. This tee captures that 70s fascination with turn-of-the-century art and spectacle.

Crafted from soft, breathable 100% cotton in a fitted silhouette with bold red contrast trim at the collar and sleeves. It fits a variety of sizes thanks to the cut and stretch of the cotton — pinned to the model here for styling purposes. Best suited to a modern M–L, but can easily be worn oversized or tucked by smaller sizes for a more slouchy look.
