1970s Italian Made Mohair-Blend Belted Sweater with Collar

A beautifully textured 1970s handmade jumper, crafted in Italy in an 80% wool, 10% mohair, 10% nylon blend.

This is quintessential 70s bohemian knitwear — slim through the body, softly structured, with a wide collar, deep V neckline and matching tie belt to cinch the waist. The sleeves gently flare toward the cuffs, giving it that unmistakable hippie silhouette.

The yarn has a soft halo from the mohair content and a rustic, artisanal texture throughout. The warm cream base is contrasted with earthy brown striping that runs vertically and across the shoulders and back, creating a striking graphic effect.

Condition

Good vintage condition.  No holes or structural flaws.At the base of the V-neckline there is a visible hand-tied finishing point from the original knitting process. This is not damage — it is characteristic of hand-knitted construction and part of the garment’s handmade authenticity.

Please note:

Due to its wool and mohair composition, this knit has a textured, slightly itchy feel against bare skin. It is best worn with a light layer underneath. Those with very sensitive skin may find it too textured.
