Description

An incredible original 1970s cropped leather jacket constructed from overlapping fish-scale patchwork panels in a rich autumnal palette of burgundy, rust, cognac, brown and black. The individual scales combine smooth leather and suede, creating wonderful variation in both colour and texture.

The jacket has a fitted, cropped silhouette with elements of a classic bomber jacket, including a ribbed elasticated knit panel across the back hem, which gives some flexibility through the waist. It features a pointed collar, full metal front zip and two front pockets.

A particularly special piece of 1970s leatherwork — beautifully graphic up close, but with warm, earthy colours that make it surprisingly easy to wear.

Condition

Very good vintage condition. The leather and suede show normal signs of age and wear, including some light scuffing and a few small loose threads, but there are no significant holes or tears. There is one line of sun fading to the interior lining. Overall, beautifully preserved for a leather jacket of this age.
