Early 1960s Boxy Leopard Velvet Coat

A striking original 1960s leopard print velvet coat featuring a relaxed, architectural silhouette that sits between a classic straight coat and an early boxy city coat — intentionally loose rather than fitted, and designed to be worn with ease and movement.

It has a softly structured, straight cut with gentle volume through the body, allowing it to drape rather than cling. The coat is double-breasted with leather-trimmed buttons and leather-trimmed pockets, details that add depth and texture against the plush velvet surface.

The velvet itself is soft, dense and in very good condition, retaining its richness and pile throughout. The leather trim shows light, honest wear consistent with age, which only adds to the character of the piece and does not affect wearability. Fully lined for comfort and warmth.
