Description
A delicate Edwardian white cotton corset cover blouse dating to the early 20th century.
Crafted from fine semi-sheer cotton lawn with intricate broderie anglaise cutwork and delicate floral embroidery across the chest and shoulders. Pintuck detailing at the neckline and scalloped openwork motifs create that unmistakable Edwardian lightness.
The blouse buttons at the back with small original buttons. The hem is softly gathered and slightly bloused, giving it that romantic cropped silhouette typical of corset covers of the era.
While originally intended as lingerie or an under-blouse layer over a corset, this piece works beautifully today styled as a cropped Edwardian blouse with high-waisted denim or skirts.
Condition
Good antique condition. Some small pinholes on the sleeves. No major structural damage.
Cotton remains soft and wearable.
