Description

A delicate antique Edwardian tulle blouse, sourced in Le Marais in Paris — a piece that feels both incredibly light and quietly intricate.

Crafted from an ultra-fine ivory tulle, somewhere between mesh and net, this blouse features vertical pintucks that create subtle structure through the body, balanced by a soft, slightly flared silhouette. The sleeves are gently voluminous — a nod to late Edwardian shaping — and gather into a soft cuff, giving that romantic, almost “mini leg-of-mutton” effect in a more wearable form.

The collar is particularly special: a small rounded Peter Pan shape, finished with fine floral embroidery and delicate detailing that frames the neckline beautifully. At the back, a keyhole closure adds to its lightness and femininity.

Pieces like this were often worn as decorative blouses or lingerie-adjacent garments in the early 1900s, and examples in this fine tulle appear more frequently in France than elsewhere — they are notably difficult to source in Germany.

Condition
Very good antique condition for its age (circa 1900s–1910s).
The tulle shows some very minor wear consistent with age — small areas of thinning and a few tiny holes/pinhole openings. A couple of areas have been or can be discreetly repaired. No major damage, fully wearable and beautifully preserved considering its age.

The fabric has slight natural give due to its open mesh structure, but remains delicate — best for a petite fit and careful wear.
