Vintage Sterling Silver Articulated Fish earrings

Rare and wonderfully kinetic articulated fish earrings in solid sterling silver. Sourced in India in the 1970s — and already vintage at that time — these are likely handcrafted much earlier, in the mid-20th century.

Each fish is composed of individually hinged silver segments that sway and “swim” with movement — a miniature feat of traditional silversmithing.

In South Asian jewellery, the fish is a protective talisman: a symbol of luck, prosperity and safe travels. These earrings are the kind of soul-filled collectible that only becomes more magical with age.

Stamped 925. Surprisingly light and very comfortable to wear — the perfect statement earrings you can keep on all day.
